ABOUT
Ardenia is situated on the edge of the delightful village of Appleton Wiske. There is a pub, village shop and playing fields all within easy walking distance. Ardenia sleeps two as either a super king bed or two single beds, please specify when booking. The option of a third guest is available with a 2' 6'' fold up bed available.
The village is only 5 miles from the A19, which leads easily onto the A1. It is an ideal base to explore The North Yorks Moors, which are a short drive away. The historical cities of York and Durham can be reached in under an hour. Travel to the west and you can explore the beautiful villages and countryside in the Dales. The charming seaside locations of Whitby, Staithes, Asygarth, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay are all within easy reach.
The property is annexed to the main bungalow, occupied by the owners and has it's own private access. There is a large bedroom with a 6 foot bed and en suite shower room. A 2'6'' fold up bed can be provided for a 3rd guest [please note the shower room is only accessible from the main bedroom].
There is a travel cot [please bring bedding], baby bath and high chair for people travelling with a baby. The shower room has a toilet, washbasin and easy access shower. The lounge leads into a dining area and then a fully fitted kitchen, with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and double oven and grill.
A conservatory leads out onto a large rear, fully fenced patio area with table and chairs and a barbecue. A small patio at the front of the property allows you to take advantage of the sun whatever the time of day. There is an off road graveled parking space for one car, but a 2nd car could be accommodated if required. There are a number of pleasant walks from the property over fields.
There is strictly no smoking in the house, ashtrays are supplied outside on the patio areas. For people with limited mobility, the accommodation is on one level, however there are 2 steps into the house at the front and back. Please note the bathroom is off the main bedroom so a 3rd guest would have to walk through the bedroom.

Popular and highly acclaimed eats within 10 minutes include Roots Farm Cafe and Whitegates Nursery and Garden Centre who are known for their Sunday lunches.
